Pitch your ecommerce idea to a panel of industry experts and stand a chance to win a business start-up package worth R50 000, including:
A cash prize of R10 000 will be awarded to the winner of the pitching contest.
The winner will receive 1 month of free courier with DPD Laser trading as Dawn Wing. Domestic shipments only, and a max value of R20k for the month.
The winner will receive 50% off all PayFast transaction fees for 1 year or up to the value of R5 000. The fee reduction period will start on 30 June 2021.
Xneelo will provide 1 year's free hosting (to the value of R149 per month) to the 3 entrepreneurs who make it to the finals. We will also provide the three entrepreneurs with a year's subscription to the HeavyChef learning platform.
The winner will receive a half-day training workshop from eCommerce Experts on how to set up an online store with Shopify, valued at R5000.
The winner will receive a legal road mapping session with Legalese, valued at R1500.
The winner will receive a BulkSMS account, including 10 000 SMS credits plus a mini workshop on how to integrate SMS with an ecommerce store, including template examples, best practices and set up assistance.
The winner will receive a Facebook Marketing for Business course from TDMC, valued at R850.

JUDGES & MENTORS

OVERVIEW &
CRITERIA

Overview:
  • Entries open on 24 May and close on 11 June
  • 10 entrants will be selected to go through to the semi finals on 21 June
  • 3 semi finalists will be selected to go through to the finals on 24 June
  • The finals will be viewable at the virtual conference on 30 June
Who should enter:
  • Entrepreneurs wanting to start a new online store within the next 6-12 months
  • Entrepreneurs with an existing online store that is not older than 2 years
Requirements:
  • To enter, you will be required to complete a short questionnaire outlining your business idea
  • If you are selected as a semi finalist, you will be required to present a 4-minute virtual pitch on 21 June
  • If you are selected as a finalist, you will be required to present a 4-minute virtual pitch on 24 June and participate in a Q&A session with judges
Terms:
  • By entering the pitching contest, you acknowledge that you have read and accept these Terms and Conditions
  • Entrants must be 18 years or older and hold a valid South African identity document
  • The data provided by entrants will only be viewed and utilised for the purposes of the pitching contest
  • The judges' decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into
  • The Terms and Conditions may be amended at any time at the discretion of Ecommerce.co.za
