How do you successfully sell to a crowd of strangers? To a community that is foreign to your own?

Find the Green Lantern.

Every community has a super man or woman. An influencer, someone to whom everyone looks for leadership. Marlon Parker* calls this person the Green Lantern.

Sometimes it’s a gangster, sometimes it’s a teacher, sometimes it’s a minister, sometimes it’s a nobody.

It doesn’t matter who it is. It only matters that you find that person and win her over.

Once she’s on your side, the rest of the community will follow.

The hard part is not winning her over. The hard part is finding her.
