Trust is a two-way street
by Alan Knott-Craig: Successful entrepreneur and best selling author.
Assume you have an employee called Jane.
In order to have a trust relationship, you and Jane need to trust one another. If either party has no trust, there is no trust relationship.
Trust is multiplicative. 1 x 0 = 0.
How do you win the trust of someone else?
Action. Words are wind. People will judge you based on your actions over the long run, not your words in the short run.
Not only do you build trust by walking your talk, you build trust by trusting other people.
When people realise you trust them, they will trust you back.
Trust is a two-way street.
